My teacher asked us to read an article on titles. These are some of the key points I found in the article. The titles in the beginning of the movie are not only just to tell you title of the movie and the important people in the film. They set the mood and they give the first impression to viewers. Titles in movie openings started to change throughout history. They first started out at hand written cards that were photographed and then inserted into the movie. It was clear and easy to read. People later started to put designs on it. Titles started to match the themes of the movies and convey the tone. Titles started to add angles, lines, and shadows. Then they started to become more narrative and they prepare viewers for the movie.
